The D'urville Suite comes with its own spa bath and breathe taking views. We know you'll love it. All rooms have access to our shared guest lounge which enables you to really unwind and relax while enjoying the views and peace of the occasion.

All rooms also come with private bathrooms for you, along with a super power shower, quality toiletries, silk and 100% cotton linen, a his and her bathrobe and slippers. The bed itself has a posturepedic mattress to help you unwind and the room has fresh flowers, fruit, handmade biscuits and bedside chocolates.

Reason two: We offer pre-packed lunches to suit and meet your exact requirements. We have flexible dinner arrangements which gives you the ability to do the things you wish to do while you are here and come back to the lodge knowing that your dinner is ready for you.

We can also arrange all adventures, horse riding, fishing, golfing, walking, wine tasting tours along with flight adventures and all of our guests receive wine before each evening meal and as soon as they arrive at the lodge as a welcoming gesture.

We have Broadband available for you just in case you need it, you may want to keep in contact with loved ones while you are away, or maybe you are waiting on some important business news that cant wait until you get back to the office to hear about, it here for you anytime you need it.

We can arrange all of the outdoor activities that you may wish to sample while you are here, so please let us know what you would like to do and we will take care of it for you. Some of the activities include, flight sightseeing, trout fishing trips, walks and wine tours, golf days, trekking adventures to name a few.

You can really relax in bed and take in the mountain and sea views from our D'urville suit. The sun rising if you are awake or the moon coming up across the Tasman Sea are just magnificent!!! You can enjoy the comfort within the guests lounge and watch the boats leaving for the days adventure or just sailing across the Tasman sea into Nelson Harbor.

With the views we have there is something to watch without leaving the comfort of the Lodge.

The lodge is just minutes away from Kaiteriteri beach where all the shuttle, kayaks and water taxis leave to go into the Abel Tasman Park if this is something on your agenda the Lodge will suit you perfectly or if you wish you can take a walk down the steps to Little Kaiteriteri Beach where you can swim or relax. The coastal walks on the beach take you over the headland above Dummy Bay where you take the steps down & enjoy this quiet little peace of heaven or walk further on round to Stephens Bay to explore the rock pools on your way round to Tapu Bay to look at the fascinating rock formations all without having to drive off anywhere!

The D'urville Suite

The D'urville suite is the premier room and is both luxurious and spacious and offers panoramic, coastal and mountain views.

The suite is tastefully furnished and includes an 18th century brass bed that has a luxurious posturepedic mattress which really allows you to enjoy a great nights sleep with 100% cotton and silk linen and a goose down duvet. It's just what you need to help you relax and unwind.

Your large designer bathroom has its own spa bath or if you prefer a power shower. This has been installed together with double wash hand basins set into a granite and oak vanity unit.

The Abel Tasman Room

The Abel Tasman room and private bathroom has patio doors leading out onto the garden area where YOU can enjoy your breakfast or on the front deck as you prefer.

The room is beautifully furnished and is equipped to cater for your every need. The Abel Tasman room has views looking into the garden and beyond towards the Abel Tasman National Park.

This was my first visit to New Zealand and Pine Lodge provided a fantastic base to explore the northern area of South Island.

The location of Pine Lodge is to just to die for as the house sits on a Peninsula overlooking beaches and with views across to Nelson.

The accommodation and cuisine was first class and every thing and more was provided to make my stay in New Zealand a most enjoyable and very memorable experience. I never tired of sitting on the terrace or looking through the well-positioned windows watching the ever-changing sky and seascape.

My hosts, Bill and Sheila Creighton, provided a very warm and welcoming atmosphere in their beautiful home which is filled with antiques and fascinating minerals and mining artefacts. They took great care to ensure my time with them was the very best that could be offered. They were also very generous in sharing their knowledge of the area and as a consequence I saw some spectacular places, which are not on the usual tourist trails.

The experience was so good I am planning a return visit, hopefully in 2008

Superlatives can become less potent with quantity, however it will be difficult to write this review without using a few.

The Pine Lodge is quite simply fabulous. We made the trip to the other side of the world looking for a "holiday of a lifetime" and Bill and Sheila made sure it was just that. We found the people of New Zealand to be perfect hosts and, in Pine Lodge, we might as well have been in our own home. Comfortable, clean, friendly and perfectly located it was the Lodge that made our time in New Zealand just perfect. I don't know how long it will be before we can make such a grand trip again but when we do, it will be to stay at Pine Lodge.
